Port Wine Recipe: Strawberry Sundae with Meringues

  • 500 g of strawberries, halved
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 500 g of crumbled meringues
  • 2 l of vanilla ice cream
Preparation
  • Place the strawberries and sugar in a pan and cook over a low heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to simmer for 4 minutes and remove from the stove. Cool.
  • In large glasses, place a layer of crushed meringue followed by a layer of ice cream followed by a layer of strawberry mix. Serve immediately.
